Excludes Consular Processing: This data does not include applicants waiting for immigrant visas at U.S. consulates abroad (Department of State inventory).
Excludes Unfiled Petitions: It does not account for individuals with approved I-140 petitions who have not yet filed Form I-485.
Processing Time: The presence of an application in this inventory does not guarantee immediate visa availability, even if the priority date is current.

Bars: Represent the volume of applicants waiting with that specific priority date. Higher bars indicate more competition.

Red Line (Final Action Date): Applications to the left have priority dates that are likely "Current" according to the Visa Bulletin. Applications to the right are waiting for visa numbers to become available.

Annual Quota Context

Employment-based preference categories are subject to numerical limits:

Global Cap: ~140,000 visas annually across all EB categories.
Country Cap: No single country can receive more than 7% of the total (~9,800 visas).
